FULL TIME PROGRAM

DRAWING PROGRAM

At Barcelona Atelier of Realist Art we consider drawing a fundamental tool, the basis of painting and sculpture.

Our students always start in drawing and, according to the learning process of each student, we move to painting.

The complete annual program consists of 2 main blocks:

-Study of the figure and the portrait
-Copy of prints, copy of plaster
At the same time, the students will do extra exercises such as the study of figure diagrams, studies of the plans of the different parts of the body, modeling exercises, introduction to value studies …

They will also make sketches of copies of great masters in painting to get started in the technique of oil painting, and an introduction to the landscape for anyone who is interested.

Interested students will also be able to carry out sculpture exercises, which help a lot to improve the understanding and interpretation of the form.

PAINTING PROGRAM

After learning the basic concepts of drawing, the student will start in the painting program taught by Barcelona Atelier of Realist Art.

Students become familiar with new concepts such as color, temperature, saturation, variation in paint application, and the different stages of the painting process (underpainting, first paint, and second paint).

The complete annual program consists of two main blocks:

-Study of the figure and the portrait.
-Copy of plaster casts and still lifes (still lifes)
Optionally, copies of great masters will also be studied and the landscape will continue.

The complete program lasts for 3 years. For all those students who do not have this time, we can also design a program mixing the drawing part with the painting part.
